History
Of Perkowski Screenprint and Embroidery
THE
HISTORY of Perkowski Screenprint and Embroidery started during
the 1970's in Detroit Michigan. Bob Perkowski and Debra Chaffin
were attending University of Michigan majoring in Fine Art. Bob
printed his first t-shirt in 1971. He found his niche by selling
shirts at local concert venues in southern Michigan. Bob and
Debra got married in 1977 and moved to Ukiah, California. That
is when Perkowski Screenprinting began.
MANY IMPROVEMENTS have taken place since those early days.
The industry has come far and we have kept up with it every
inch of the way. Staying up to date with evolving technology
such as computer graphics, screenprinting equipment, embroidery
machines, and computer database and customer demand is what’s
keeps us out in front and on the cutting edge!

OUR
EMPLOYEES have been a real encouragement along the way. We
have come to be a highly efficient force with permanent staff
members.
Bob heads up our graphics department. With
over 30 years experience he can handle anything. He also develops
and maintains our state of the art database.
Debra is our professional digitizing and
embroidery manager. Her attention to detail is phenomenal.
She is also our main sales person, book-keeper, and much more.
Jenny is our embroidery technician since 2007. She also is a sales assistant.
Along with our permanent staff are other individuals that
work behind the scene to make the products that you love so
much.
OUR
COMMUNITY always plays an active part in what we do. Bob was
active in the local Rotary Club International for 14 years,
and he was voted president for raising over $10,000 selling
tshirts at the local air show. We are members of the Ukiah and Mendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce and support many of our local events.
Perkowski Screenprint and Embroidery have played a hand in raising money for organizations
such as American Cancer Society, Humane Society, Rotary club
International, Boys and Girls club, local schools and many,
many more. |
